The most famous of them all is for sure the electric Rhodes piano, invented by Mr. Harold Rhodes during WWII using scraps from a US bomber aircraft.
Contemporary and of similar operating principle to the Rhodes were the Wurlitzer Electric Piano and the Yamaha Model CP. In the ‘70s Hohner introduced the models Clavinet and Pianet.
